What is the Indie Sellers Guild?

Punky Jane is a proud member of the Indie Sellers Guild (ISG), but what is the ISG exactly? Here's a quick take:
"The Indie Sellers Guild is a labor organization established to promote the interests of online sellers of handmade, unique, vintage and craft goods all over the world. It’s time that indie online sellers leveraged our solidarity and our vast numbers to make our voices heard by big tech platforms."
Mission:
The Indie Sellers Guild exists to promote the interests of online sellers of handmade, unique, vintage and craft goods all over the world. The ISG seeks to harness the power inherent in our vast numbers, to grow it and to put it to work for all independent online sellers.
The ISG, an international non-profit, was born from the Etsy Strike earlier this year, where nearly 30,000 Etsy Sellers joined the weeklong protest about changes Etsy continues to implement that make it more difficult and expensive for sellers, without any input for actual sellers. Our hard work makes big bucks for Etsy and we deserve a seat at the decision-making table.
Punky Jane is a Verified Seller Member (woot woot!), and you can join as a Seller or an Ally. It’s a wonderful way to show your support of indie sellers and say no to the rash of resellers claiming to be handmade or vintage. It's free to join.
One of the things I’m most excited about is the Indie Seller directory! ISG will have a directory of online sellers who meet the criteria of being actually handmade, vintage and craft goods. Every member is verified. I’ll add a link as soon as it's live. If you want to be sure you’re buying from an indie seller, this is going to be an amazing place to start your search.
